About Me

Katie Cushing, completing a B.A. in Public Relations and Advertising with a minor in Audio Engineering, currently serves as the Program Director at Jax State’s student-run radio station, WLJS 91.9 FM.

Katie, an aspiring PR professional, is driven by a deep passion for storytelling. Her dedication to mastering this art and creating impactful campaigns that resonate with audiences is truly inspiring. Throughout her studies, she has honed her skills in crafting compelling narratives and leveraging various media channels to amplify brand messages.

Alongside her PR endeavors, Katie’s fascination with audio engineering is a source of immense joy. Whether she’s shaping the sonic landscape of a podcast, perfecting the mix of a song, or experimenting with sound design, her enthusiasm for the artistry and technical precision of audio engineering is palpable.


Recently accepted into The University of Alabama’s Graduate Public Relations and Advertising Program, Katie is eager to further her education and expand her expertise in the field.

Her interests extend beyond the classroom as she immerses herself in the dynamic realms of social media and the entertainment industry. She is fascinated by the ever-evolving digital landscape and its endless opportunities for connecting with audiences, sparking conversations, and driving meaningful engagement.
